Slim Yelow was born and raised in Switzerland. After graduating from high school he moved to Boston in 1995 where he attended Berklee College of Music. At the end of 4 years he graduated with a double major in Film Scoring and Jazz Composition. After moving to Los Angeles he worked on various short film and advertising projects.

The call for DJ culture came during the summer of 2002 when he purchased his first set of turntables and started collecting house records. Slim's first gig happened that same year and since then he has played at various venues in and around Hollywood. Slim Yelow was also recently announced the winner at a local DJ showcase sponsored by Remix magazine.

The man behind the turntables is also an avid producer of Electronica music, his styles including: tribal / tech house, breaks and funky downtempo/chill. Slim Yelow runs 5 labels under Yelow Tek recordings. (www.yelowtekrecords.com)

The labels are all digital which enables a large production throughput and efficient distribution (Beatport, DJDownload, EDM, Trackitdown, Ingrooves etc.). Slim always has new tunes, dubs and remixes coming out each week for all Djs and fans.

His remixes and originals have been played by top DJs such as Bushwacka, Chris Fortier, Mark Lewis, Grant Plant, DJ Cass and DJ Villo, just to name a few.

Further more Slim is currently working on a live act to perform Techno and Tribal music using a combination of various synths, groove boxes and samplers.
